Eastnor Pottery signage, leaflets & banners

The Challenge

Jon and Sarah own Eastnor Pottery. They offer pottery experiences for families, groups and individuals both at their Eastnor base and further afield with their brand The Flying Potter. Jon and Sarah have worked with adults, young people and children for over 40 years between them and the pottery experiences are designed to explore and develop creativity in all ages and abilities.

Jon had worked with us a few years ago when we developed a leaflet to promote his Arts Council England-supported Ceramic Art Sound Trail exhibition. We worked with them again when they wanted to add signage to their building to make them easier to find, create leaflets they could leave in tourism venues and develop banners they could use when out and about as The Flying Potter.

The Solution

Eastnor Potter and The Flying Potter used blue and white bunting on their website and we carried this vibrant visual identity through to the signage for the outside of the building. The strong simple lines and strong colours ensure it will stand out, even on the dullest of Herefordshire days.

The four banners we created take the blue and white identity and combine it with lively photography that captures the excitement of a pottery experience. Minimal but informative text plus website and social media links complete the banners.

The same elements are also used on the promotional leaflets that will be in all the tourist information centres and other tourist attractions nearby. We paid particular attention to the top third of the leaflet, which is usually the only part of the leaflet on show when it is displayed in a rack.
